Lego self-portrait Scene
This project showcases my 3D modeling expertise, stylized texture creation, and artistic design skills in Maya and Unity
Final Render In Unity
Process for creating the Lego scene
The creation of this Lego scene began with extensive research, where I gathered a wide range of references to inspire the project. These references helped me explore different styles and elements, giving me a foundation for the initial concept. Once I had a clear idea in mind, I translated it into a concept art piece that captured the key elements of the scene.
With the concept art as my guide, I conducted additional research to refine specific aspects of the design, sourcing more detailed references for modeling and texture creation. This iterative process helped me ensure that every element was cohesive and well-integrated. I then moved on to 3D modeling in Maya, carefully crafting each piece to match the vision laid out in the concept art.
This project not only showcases my technical skills in modeling and texture creation but also highlights my ability to take a project from initial concept through to final render, combining creative vision with technical execution.
The tedious process of importing materials from Maya to an engine workflow inspired me to develop a Python Plugin for Unreal that automates the DCC-to-Unreal materials import workflow.
After modeling, I focused on creating stylized textures to enhance the visual appeal of the scene, ensuring the textures worked harmoniously with the overall design. Finally, I brought everything together by importing the models and textures into Unity, where I fine-tuned the lighting and composition to achieve the final rendered scene.
